Converge’s Kurt Ballou Hospitalized, Latin American Tour Postponed

In
major
bummer
news,

Converge

are
postponing
their
upcoming
tour
due
to
Kurt
Ballou’s
health
issues.
He
will
have
to
wait
to
go
out
on
the
road
until
his
doctors
say
he
can
travel.

They
are
putting
their
Latin
American
Tour
on
hold
as
Ballou
deals
with
cellulitis
in
one
of
his
feet.
Unfortunately,
that
means
he
was
forced
to
stay
in
the
hospital
for
eight
days.
Given
the
fact
that
this
bacterial
skin
condition
was
serious
enough
to
need
hospital
intervention,
it’s
a
good
thing
he
sought
out
professional
help,
rather
than
sticking
it
out
and
heading
out
on
tour.
At
the
time
of
this
post
going
live,
he’s
now
at
home
resting,
but
has
not
yet
cleared
for
travel.

Initially,
the
tour
was
supposed
to
happen
this
month.
Now,
it
has
been
bumped
back
to
November
as
Ballou
takes
the
time
to
heal.

On
social
media,
Ballou
explains:

“Announcement:
Unfortunately
we
need
to
postpone
the
upcoming
@converge
Latin
American
tour
until
the
fall
as
I’m
recovering
from
a
random
foot
infection
that
had
me
hospitalized
for
8
days!
I’m
resting
at
home
now
and
doing
better
every
day
but
not
yet
fit
for
travel.
“I’m
very
disappointed
this
tour
is
being
delayed,
but
also
super
stoked
that
we
were
able
to
add
a
show
in
Argentina!
“South
East
Asia
tour
and
everything
else
on
the
books
are
still
going
forward
as
planned.
Thanks
everyone
for
your
support
and
we’ll
see
you
soon!

We
wish
Ballou
a
speedy
recovery
and
hope
to
see
them
back
on
the
road
on
other
dates
soon
as
well,
once
he
is
back
to
100%.
