Yelawolf Buried Alive After Femme Fatale Setup In ‘Make You Love Me’ Video
Yelawolf has reminisced of a time gone by in his official video for “Make You Love Me,” which you can check out below.
The official video, which dropped on Friday (March 15), features the rapper and his friends dressed in gear straight out of Peaky Blinders.
As his would-be love interest, complete with a 1920s flapper-girl aesthetic, listens to his plan, she sips upon a dram of what appears to be Yelawolf’s proprietary whiskey, Creek Water American Whiskey, before hitting him with a double-cross that finds his would-be friends beating him up and tossing him into a shallow grave.
“She likes the old school, she loves an outcast,” he raps. “These trends are old news, these bands are so bad/ These boys are lurkin’, I’ll show you throw back/ My whiskey glass is empty, yo, hold that/ The powder coated Chevelle that I parked in the alley/ Got a seat in it for your body, if you want it that loudly/ I’ll kick it, take it to you/ We can jump a Bama to Cali, sample each other like a charcuterie/ You and me packin’?/ Pack it up, bitch.”

Yelawolf released “Everything,” the first track from his forthcoming new album, last month.
“Everything” marks Yela’s return to Hip Hop for the first time in nearly three years. The track serves as the lead single to War Story, which is due out later this year.
“I hear people, from time to time, tell me that I’m underrated or under-appreciated,” Yela begins on the song. “And, to a certain extent, that’s flattery and endearing/ But I also use it as a source of inspiration to keep, keep fuckin’ y’all up!”
Announced in November of last year, Yelawolf’s War Story boasts contradicting sides: Trunk Muzik 4Ever, which is produced by his right-hand WLPWR; and Michael Wayne, produced by Malay.
The project marks Yelawolf’s first solo rap album since 2021’s Mud Mouth — 2022’s Sometimes Y with Shooter Jennings saw him pivot to rock.
“I was just so fueled to rap again. My tank got refilled, so to speak, and it turned out I had a lot to say,” he told SPIN. “I would love to see a place in Hip Hop for me to elevate and to bring the quality of the music and what we’ve put together to the forefront of the mainstream.”

Yelawolf added his hopes for the project: “I would like for Drake fans, Kendrick Lamar fans, Three 6 Mafia fans, Future fans, XXXTentacion fans — I think it would be rad for me if the younger generation would take a hold of the project.”
