K. Michelle Reveals She’s Fired Over 100 Assistants Throughout Her Career

K. Michelle has revealed she has fired over 100 personal assistants for numerous different reasons, including not installing a TV, miscommunication and more.

During her visit to MAJIC-FM 107.5/97.5, show host Ryan Cameron asked her what her assistant body count was. The answer turned out to be the triple digits.

A lot of them couldn’t reach the expectations K. Michelle had set for the position, and she revealed she had no choice but to pull the plug. “I’ve probably had over 100,” the singer admitted before Cameron asked what the last person did to get fired.

“Couldn’t hang up two TVs with six people came out to the house, didn’t know how to get the cords in the walls,” she explained. “Six different people in my house didn’t know how to hang a TV and wanted $2,000 a week. I said I’d do $1,600 a week.”

Michelle continued to explain why that assistant got fired, saying: “I remember one day I said, ‘Can you make reservations at 5 o’clock for four people?’ She come in and say ‘I made reservations for 4 o’clock.’”

Another example of a failed assistant was one woman who got the axe before getting the position. According to Michelle, her and her team took the woman to an Atlanta restaurant where she got rather comfortable with her potential employers.

“We take her out to eat at Atlanta Fish Market, she talking, I’m like, ‘She’s great, she is great, I like her.’ I’m looking at everybody, she say, ‘On holidays we do drugs, we do cocaine,” said Michelle. “I couldn’t believe. This was my first time meeting her. I gave her two drinks and she lost it. Why would I be around stuff like that?”

This isn’t the first time K. Michelle has shared her troubles with failed assistants. In April 2021, she sent out a tweet calling for a pair of assistants she needed to help her with a task.

“I need another assistant at this point I need two. I have to know that things are getting done and moving along with aggression. I need a second assistant with the hustle of ME.”

Meanwhile, GloRilla was involved in a viral conversation about personal assistants in December when she had to defend a new job position she opened up.

The Memphis rap star was offering a $550-a-week pay rate for a new personal assistant position on her team, with responsibilities that included managing the rapper’s calendar, organizing meals, booking travel and more.

However, she was forced to defend the salary when various people on social media deemed the rate too low.
