Conway The Machine Has Album On The Way Produced By J.U.S.T.I.C.E League

Exclusive –

Conway The Machine has an entire album with the J.U.S.T.I.C.E League production team in the works, and the production duo has said that they’re excited to work on more projects from head to toe in the future.

During a chat with HipHopDX on Monday (October 30), group member Erik “Rook” Ortiz confirmed that he and his partner Kevin “Colione” Crowe are preparing an entire tracklist for the Griselda MC to spit on. He made it clear that it will arrive after Conway’s Won’t He Do It 2, a planned sequel to the rapper’s project from this past May.

“We can do it all, we can carry a whole album and we can make it sound phenomenal,” Ortiz began. “Next up for us is Conway The Machine. We’re doing that whole album with Conway. We’re in talks with a lot of other artists right now to do their whole albums.

“I can’t really say right now, but some really, really cool big names. But you should expect that from us — whole albums, whole projects from J.U.S.T.I.C.E League and it should be fun, man.”

He added: “And so Jeezy’s is [our] first foray into full-album territory [the duo will helm half of Jeezy’s upcoming double album]. I think Hit-Boy knocked it out the park with Nas and he set the blueprint, and I’m glad that we can offer up something really cool like this.”

Jeezy’s upcoming project will be his first full-length release since leaving Def Jam. The Grammy-nominated rap veteran was signed to the legendary label for the majority of his career, but he has now switched gears and will put out his new one via a partnership between CTE New World and Stem Distribution.

Titled I Might Forgive…But I Don’t Forget, the double album is scheduled to arrive in early November. The first half of the 29-track project features production from heavy hitters like ATL Jacob, Ricky Polo, Cubeatz and Hendrix. The second disc is soundtracked entirely by J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League.

“As you work on the album, y’know, you start talking about life, talking about music, experience and all that,” Rook said. “So it just became more songs and more songs and more songs, and then one day, [Jeezy] was like, ‘Y’know what? This gon’ be a double album.’”

He added: “[The album is] very mature. He opens up about a lot of subjects — some things people might be curious about or never even knew about him. It’s very meticulously put together.”
