Video: Rotting Christ Play a Festival in Greece

Add Rotting Christ to the list of metal bands that have managed to pull off at least one live show since the coronavirus outbreak completely derailed 2020: The PRP reports that the band played The Long Beach Festival in Katerini, Greece last weekend. Other bands that have managed, for better or worse, to perform in the post-pandemic world include Doro, Great White, Destruction, and Static-X.

Fan-filmed video (below) does not make it appear as though there were many protocols in place to stop the spread of the virus… but then, Greece has been relatively unaffected by COVID-19. According to worldometers.info, they’re only ranked 101st for global cases of coronavirus, with 4,336 confirmed diagnoses and 203 deaths. That’s 19 deaths per million members of the population. In contrast, America has 13,800 deaths per million members of the population.

Rotting Christ will be part of next year’s rescheduled Devastation on the Nation tour of North America, along with Borknagar, Wolfheart, Abigail Williams, and Imperial Triumphant. Get dates here.
