Listen: Sludge Cover of The Jackson 5’s “Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground)”

Psych-sludge metallers Netherlands have posted a cover of The Jackson 5’s “Shake our Body (Down to the Ground).”

Written by Michael Jackson and his brother Randy, the original track appeared on The Jackson 5′ 1978 album, Destiny.

Netherlands frontman Timo Ellis says of the cover:

“I credit this song with being one of the fundamental inspirations for my wanting to become a musician at all.”

The cover appears on Zombie Techno Undead, Netherlands’ new expanded version of Zombie Techno, originally released in June of this year. Out October 30, Zombie Techno Undead sees the addition of three bonus tracks, including the Jackson 5 cover and two new Netherlands originals. Grab it right here.
