Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon Joins yMusic’s CJ Camerieri on New Song “Land”: Listen

Trumpeter and yMusic co-founder CJ Camerieri has detailed his debut album under his CARM moniker. The record, called CARM, is out January 22 via 37d03d. The album includes contributions from Sufjan Stevens, Yo La Tengo’s Georgia Hubley and Ira Kaplan (“Already Gone”), Mouse on Mars, Shara Nova, and  Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon, who features on the new track “Land,” which you can hear below.

CJ Camerieri has previously collaborated with Justin Vernon on Bon Iver and i,i. “CJ and I have worked together for over 10 years and I truly believe there isn’t a more accomplished brass player in the entire world of music,” Justin Vernon said in a press release. “This record is way more than a ‘horn’ record. It’s a discovery of new heights with what’s possible in creating music.”

Camerieri added, “Land—our stable ground—can be upended, especially right now. The material world often feels distorted beyond recognition, and the ‘screen’ has become our most reliable means of community and communication. The song is about finding connection.”
