Evanescence Debut New Song Featuring Members of Within Temptation, The Pretty Reckless, Halestorm, and More

Remember this scene from the last Avengers flick, released way back when movie theaters were still a thing?

Well, the new Evanescence single, “Use My Voice,” is basically pop metal’s answer to that scene. According to a press release, the track features “a line-up of bad-ass women who lent their voices to the anthemic chorus in the song,” which “was written to celebrate the power of speaking out in order to promote a more just world.”

Not coincidentally, the band has also unveiled a website, UseMyVoice.org, to help fans register to vote and/or learn how the can vote remotely in the midst of the ongoing pandemic (in case ya haven’t heard, Evanescence’s Amy Lee is not a Trump fan).

Here are the “Use My Voice” participants:

  • Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless
  • Lzzy Hale of Halestorm
  • Violinist Lindsey Stirling
  • Deena Jakoub of Veridia (long-time friend of Amy’s and co-writer of the song)
  • Sharon den Adel of Within Temptation
  • Amy’s sisters: Carrie South and Lori Lee Bulloch
  • Amy McLawhorn, wife of Evanescence guitarist Troy McLawhorn

And in case you’re wondering, yeah, no duh, the song is catchy AF. As far as I’m concerned, Evanescence are 3/3 on tracks from their new album, The Bitter Truth, which they’ve been releasing piecemeal over the course of 2020.

You can check out “Use My Voice” below. Listen to The Bitter Truth‘s previously-released singles “Wasted on You” and “The Game Is Over” below that.
